Today we’re diving deep into my top five features in EA FC 25 Clubs! Let’s jump right in, and make sure to let me know your top five in the comments below!
5. Quick Chat – Elevating In-Game Communication
At number five, we’ve got the Quick Chat feature. While we’ve seen something similar in the past with celebration emotes, EA has taken it to the next level this year by integrating text-based quick chats that appear right above our Pros during matches.
This isn’t just about enhancing communication—it’s about adding a layer of fun and, let’s be honest, some hilarious and potentially toxic moments. Imagine you’re on the pitch, your opponent pulls off a slick dribble past you, and instantly a quick chat message like “Nice Try!” pops up. It’s going to be a blast, especially when you score a goal and can quickly hit a “Thanks!” or “Great Pass!” message to your teammates.
What I like about this is how it adds to the social experience of Clubs. Whether you’re coordinating with teammates or just throwing a bit of banter, Quick Chat keeps the interaction lively and engaging. Plus, being able to ask for through balls or praise a good pass in real time without needing a mic makes the game more inclusive and accessible.
4. Matchmaking in Divisions – A New Level of Competitiveness
Coming in at number four is the new Matchmaking in Divisions feature. This is a game-changer for those of us who take Divisions seriously but don’t always have a full squad for 11v11 matches.
In previous iterations, matchmaking didn’t always account for skill ratings as accurately as we’d like, often resulting in frustrating mismatches. But now, EA has stepped up, implementing a system where your skill rating is a key factor in determining your opponents. If you’re rocking a high skill rating, expect to face off against similarly skilled players, which should make for some intense and competitive matches.
However, I do have a small gripe—this system isn’t extended to the playoffs, which I think is a missed opportunity. In the playoffs, the matchmaking is still based on division placement rather than skill rating, which could lead to some uneven matchups. That said, the introduction of skill-based matchmaking in Divisions is still a significant improvement and adds a new layer of challenge to the mode, ensuring that even in Elite Division, you won’t find the competition too easy.
3. The Clubhouse – The Ultimate Locker Room Vibe
At number three, we’ve got the Clubhouse. This was a tough one to rank because, honestly, I love what EA has done here. The Clubhouse brings a fresh and immersive locker room vibe to the game, making the time we spend in menus feel more engaging and connected to the overall experience.
Let’s be real—most of us spend a lot of time in the menus, whether it’s editing our Pros, checking stats, or tweaking tactics. The Clubhouse transforms this often mundane part of the game into something more dynamic and visually appealing. As you change teams, the Clubhouse updates to reflect the theme of your new squad, adding a sense of continuity and immersion.
What’s even cooler is that as your teammates make changes to their Pros, those updates are reflected in the locker room environment in real time. It’s these small details that make the Clubhouse feel like a living, breathing space within the game. It’s not just a menu anymore—it’s part of the narrative of your Clubs journey, and I think that’s a fantastic addition.
2. Facilities – A Game-Changing Addition
At number two, we have the introduction of Facilities. This is the first time EA has added this feature, and it’s already shaping up to be a fan favorite. Facilities come in three types: one-star, two-star, and three-star, with the three-star facilities offering the most significant benefits.
The most exciting aspect of Facilities is how they can enhance your team’s performance. A three-star facility doesn’t just boost certain stats—it also grants an extra playstyle or playstyle plus, allowing you to equip a third playstyle for your Pro. This is huge, especially for players who have been asking for more customization options when it comes to playstyles.
You earn Facilities by accumulating a budget, which in turn is gained by winning matches and building your club’s reputation. However, there’s still some mystery surrounding how long these boosts last—are they for one match, a set number of games, or something else entirely? We’ll have to see how this plays out, but the potential here is massive. Just imagine the strategic depth this adds, as you and your teammates unlock and optimize Facilities to fit your playstyles.
1. Customizing Your Pro – The Core of Clubs
And finally, the big one—Customizing Your Pro takes the top spot. This is the heart and soul of Clubs, where you get to shape your Pro’s identity on the pitch. EA has truly outdone itself this year with the new AI-powered Cranium, which offers a whopping 52 presets that you can customize to your heart’s content.
Whether you want your Pro to look like Messi, Ronaldo, or someone unique, the level of customization available is unparalleled. The Advanced Sculpture feature takes this even further, allowing you to fine-tune your Pro’s appearance in ways we haven’t seen before. This makes it much easier to create lookalikes or come up with entirely original designs.
Customization doesn’t stop at physical appearance. This year, the Club Store replaces the old Volta shop, bringing a host of new items like hairstyles, accessories, boots, and tattoos right from the start. What I’m really hoping for is consistent weekly drops throughout the year to keep things fresh. In the past, we’d have to wait for the new season to start to get new items, which could be a drag. But if EA can keep up a steady stream of new content, it’ll make customizing your Pro an ongoing and exciting part of the game.
Honorable Mention: Rush – The New 5v5 Game Mode
Before I wrap things up, I’ve got to give an honorable mention to the new Rush game mode. This 5v5 mode looks promising, especially if the rewards are worthwhile. In the current screenshots, there’s a mention of Champions rewards, but the specific rewards don’t look too enticing just yet. However, if EA can tweak this and make the rewards more appealing, Rush could become a go-to mode for many players.
Final Thoughts
That’s my top five features in EA Sports FC 25 Clubs, with a special shoutout to the Rush game mode. This year’s Clubs mode is shaping up to be one of the best yet, with innovations that not only enhance gameplay but also deepen the social and customization aspects that make Clubs so addictive. I can’t wait to see how these features play out in the game and what the community thinks.
